Seek Immediate Medical Attention
You should seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following symptoms:
- Sudden vision loss
- Eye pain
- Swelling in or around your eye
- Sudden onset of flashes or floaters
- A scratch on your eye’s surface (corneal abrasion)
- Something stuck in your eye (foreign object)
- Significant ocular discharge
If you get any harmful chemicals either in or around your eye (chemical contact), you should flush your eye and then seek immediate medical attention.
